Role Outline – Booster Pump Engineer

Client Overview

  • Client is looking for an experienced Booster Pump Engineer focused on clean water systems rather than drainage-only backgrounds.
  • Main customer base is property management companies servicing large residential apartment buildings.
  • Company operates nationally across England & Wales.

Key Duties

  • Service and maintain booster pump systems.
  • Carry out minor and major remedial works.
  • Mechanical and electrical fault finding on clean water systems.
  • Work with brands such as:
    • Lowara
    • DAB
    • Similar clean water pump systems.

Top Requirements

  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability is the biggest priority.
  • Experience with clean water booster systems.
  • Candidate must be willing to spend additional time on-site to fully resolve issues and restore water supply.

Suitable Backgrounds

  • Engineers from water treatment / wastewater backgrounds can be considered if technically strong.
  • Drainage-only engineers have previously struggled transitioning into clean water systems.

Package

  • Salary circa £40k–£45k.
  • Company van.
  • Fuel card.
  • Paid overtime at time and a half.

Hours / Travel

  • Door-to-door pay structure.
  • Contract based around an average 45-hour week including travel time.

Working Structure

  • Engineers usually work alone on servicing jobs.
  • Larger remedial jobs may involve 2 engineers.
  • Projects typically capped at 3 engineers on-site.
