About the Role
Manufacturing Engineer – Oxfordshire, OX9, Thame, Aylesbury, Oxford.
Key Responsibilities
- Join the Operations team of an advanced manufacturing business.
- Support production, improve manufacturing processes, and contribute to operational excellence within a technically driven environment.
- Work cross‑functionally with Production, Quality & Engineering to gain diverse engineering experience and exposure to an SME environment.
- Run and lead own projects, with seniority and scope for long‑term career progression.
Qualifications
- Degree‑educated Engineer (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Electro‑Mechanical) or equivalent experience in advanced engineering, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Experience in manufacturing, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or production environments.
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements.
- Experience working with Capital Equipment, Industrial Machinery, CNC Machinery, or similar; installation, service, commissioning or general maintenance, PLC, controls, or electrical knowledge useful but not required.
- Ability to create risk assessments and associated documentation, ensuring manufacturing facilities and equipment comply with H&S / COSHH regulations.
- Good communicator, comfortable working in a dynamic SME environment with multiple stakeholders across functions.
- Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress.
- Able to commute to a facility near Aylesbury, Thame, Oxford.
Benefits & Working Conditions
- Starting salary £40,000 – £45,000 (approximate, TBC) with wider company benefits.
- 25 days holiday.
- 37.5 hour week – 8:00‑16:00 Mon‑Fri.
- Commutable from Oxford, Aylesbury, Bicester, High Wycombe, Haddenham, Thame, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.
