Planning & Estimating Engineers – CNC / Precision Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer drawings and specifications to develop accurate estimates
• Prepare quotations and lead times based on internal capabilities and materials
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to support customer proposals
• Interpret and understand technical drawings, GD&T, and machining symbols
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Support continuous improvement and cost-efficiency in quoting and planning processes

Essential

• Strong knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes (manual & CNC)
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence working with PCs and business systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative mindset and professional integrity

Desirable

• Proven experience in estimating and/or planning within a precision engineering environment
• Understanding of material and process cost drivers
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
• Exposure to fabrication, welding, or special processes such as plating or coating
