We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Manager to join our MEP team working on the New Hospital Programme.
Location: London. Travel to site in the Cambridgeshire area will be required during delivery.
Hours: Full‑time – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Major Project team delivering under the New Hospital Programme framework. As a Senior Electrical Design Manager, you’ll lead the electrical design and co‑ordination delivery for complex and major projects valued over £200 million. Working collaboratively with our internal MEP and construction design teams, as well as third‑party stakeholders, you’ll help shape the future of healthcare infrastructure.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Electrical Design Manager, you’ll work within the MEP Design Management Team, supporting them in delivering exceptional healthcare facilities. Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Leading electrical design and coordination delivery from pre‑construction through to completion on major healthcare projects.
- Supervising the project’s electrical design management team and CDP specialists, ensuring sufficient resources to meet budget and programme requirements.
- Overseeing electrical design workstreams to ensure quality outputs are delivered to the programme across all areas.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of agreed strategies.
- Providing mentoring and line management support to direct reports, helping them develop fulfilling careers.
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Electrical Design Manager is great for you if:
- You hold an engineering qualification, ideally a BEng in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, and are a member of a professional institute such as CIBSE or IET.
- You have senior‑level experience in Tier 1 contracting with a strong track record in technical delivery of complex projects.
- You possess excellent technical and digital knowledge including BS 7671, BIM (ISO 19650), Building Safety Act, and HTM/HBNs.
- You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and people management skills, with the ability to motivate others to achieve high standards.
- You’re a natural collaborator and clear communicator who thrives on problem‑solving in a team environment.
