Field Service Vehicle Engineer – Peterborough

Day shifts Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a self‑motivated, independent HGV vehicle engineer to travel to various client workshops in North London and Essex. You will perform a range of tasks across diverse products, including HGVs, ground support GSE, RORO, fire and rescue, tractors and tugs, and bespoke platforms.

Responsibilities

• Callouts and preventative maintenance
• Emergency breakdowns and pre‑arranged servicing at rural sites
• MOT preparation, engine work and diagnostic investigations
• Correction of running defects, chassis and fabrication work
• Hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
• Improving vehicle standards

Qualifications & Skills

Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or accredited via an authorised apprenticeship; Class 2 licence desirable.

Strong understanding of vehicle technology and the ability to follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion.
