The Role
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Working as part of a multi‑skilled engineering team, you’ll take ownership of electrical maintenance and fault finding across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on site equipment
- Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency
About You
We’re looking for a hands‑on, driven engineer who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical maintenance within food production, FMCG, or manufacturing
- Strong fault‑finding capability across electrical systems and controls
- Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, and automation systems
- The ability to respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
- Experience with contractors
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – essential
