Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Van Mobile – London & Home Counties – Up to £48,000 + Package

Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider operating across a mixed portfolio of commercial and high‑end residential properties throughout London and the Home Counties. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to carry out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a variety of electrical, mechanical, and building services systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial building maintenance and experience working within a client‑facing mobile role. Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
  • 1 in 14 Call‑Out Rota

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and general building services systems
  • Electrical maintenance including lighting installations, fault‑finding, lamping, ballast changes, and control panel maintenance
  • Carry out emergency lighting testing and general compliance checks
  • Monitor and operate BMS systems, including heating and cooling checks
  • Carry out maintenance on pumps, motors, AHUs, and FCUs
  • Complete minor plumbing works including unblocking toilets, replacing taps, and basic pipework repairs
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, service records, and compliance documentation
  • Diagnose faults across building services equipment and proactively resolve issues
  • Carry out general building fabric maintenance where required
  • Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors on site
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and site management teams
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Remain flexible to support multiple sites across the portfolio when required

  • Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum

Requirements

  • Electrically or mechanically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 (advantageous)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi‑skilled across electrical, mechanical, and general building services systems
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Good communication and client‑facing skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
