Privacy Counsel – London (Hybrid)
Support the continued development and improvement of all aspects of Zscaler’s privacy compliance program while assisting with commercial agreements relating to SaaS products for global customers and partners.
Role Expectations
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy, data protection, and related AI issues, addressing questions from customers and internal stakeholders
- Provide practical, business-focused guidance on data privacy, data protection, and AI‑related compliance matters
- Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with customers and vendors, and advise legal team members on managing privacy and AI-related issues
- Stay up to date with global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations

Minimum Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with a valid license to practice in a UK or EU jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm advising on data privacy issues, including negotiating contracts and product counseling
- Expert knowledge of international privacy laws and regulations with experience providing guidance to global teams
- Experience with cybersecurity laws and incident response related to data privacy requirements
- CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or other related professional certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of technology platforms and data flows, including cloud and mobile devices
- Experience designing compliance programs, policies, and processes within the tech industry
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex AI frameworks and multi‑jurisdictional technology transactions
