Deputy Children’s Home Manager
Grade 8 – Salary £41,771 – £46,142Permanent, 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home
- Ensure safe and consistent care is provided for the children
- Provide guidance, mentoring and supervision to team members
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor and maintain high standards in line with Ofsted and regulatory requirements
- Undertake audits and quality assurance processes to keep the home inspection ready at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a residential children’s home setting
- Previous experience in a senior or supporting leadership role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and childcare legislation
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Diploma
- Confidence in leading teams and managing challenging situations
- A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
