Night Manager – Responsibilities
As a Night Manager at Cairn Group, you’ll be the overnight leader responsible for maintaining a smooth, secure, and welcoming experience for our guests. You’ll oversee front‑of‑house operations during the night shift, checking in guests, handling reservation changes, and ensuring all guest queries are resolved with professionalism and care. You’ll also carry out regular security checks, manage basic cleaning and laundry duties, and oversee the set‑up of meeting and event spaces to the required standard. This hands‑on role includes cash handling, card transactions, reconciliation, and preparing for the day ahead, ensuring a full and accurate handover to the morning team.

- Lead by example during quiet hours, keeping the hotel calm, welcoming, and in control.
- Show confidence, dependability, and readiness to take ownership of guest service overnight.
- Support your team and ensure smooth communication across shifts.
- Handle unexpected situations and emergencies with calm and confidence.
- Present yourself with clarity and care, representing the venue overnight.
- Manage tasks independently, balancing priorities and completing all necessary reports.
- Have prior hotel experience, ideally with knowledge of Opera, and be confident handling transactions and guest requests.
