Salary and Benefits
Salary 33,000-36,000 (DOE) plus three bonus schemes (OTE over 50K). 25 days holiday, no weekends, and great bonus schemes.
Responsibilities
- Run a branch of a highly regarded independent builders merchants, focusing on civils / drainage.
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations and sales, maximizing potential sales and overall profitability.
- Manage the sales team, motivating and guiding performance.
- Maintain stock control, negotiate with suppliers and customers, and ensure efficient inventory management.
- Develop and grow a pipeline of new and existing business.
- Ensure the branch remains profitable and operates within company standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable management or supervisory experience in the builders merchants sector (e.g., supervisor, assistant branch manager, or trade counter manager).
- Background in construction supply across various sectors (builders, civils, drainage).
- Operations and sales experience essential.
- Strong track record in sales, negotiation, and stock control.
- Ambitious, motivated, methodical, and able to thrive in a “muck‑in” environment rather than a back‑office role.
- Ability to motivate a sales team and drive results.
