What we’re looking for?

We are seeking a commercially minded energy markets professional to support the optimisation and compliance of our solar asset portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to electricity market regulations, structuring and managing routes to market, and maximising revenue across multiple market streams.

The successful candidate will oversee market compliance obligations, support the negotiation and management of power purchase and trading agreements, and provide detailed analysis of wholesale power markets, regulatory developments, and revenue performance. Working cross-functionally with commercial, legal, finance, and operations teams, the role will play a key part in shaping market strategy and enhancing asset value.

This role is based in London. We are open to part time or full time candidates, and expect a minimum of 2–3 days per week in our office in central London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading electricity market compliance across our solar portfolio, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks
  • Structuring and managing routes to market, including negotiating and supporting Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and trading arrangements
  • Acting as revenue specialist for the portfolio, ensuring PPA pricing is accurately maintained, correctly indexed, and applied in line with contractual terms
  • Managing Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) via the Ofgem Renewable Energy Register (RER), including issuance, transfers, sales, and redemption
  • Monitoring and optimising revenue streams across wholesale markets and other mechanisms
  • Delivering market insights, price forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborating with teams across commercial, finance, legal, and operations to drive asset performance and value

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electricity markets, trading, or renewable energy commercial structures
  • Experience with PPAs, market regulations, or energy market participation
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into clear strategies
  • Commercial acumen and confidence working with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Passion for renewable energy and the transition to a low‑carbon future
