End date: Thursday 11 June 2026. Salary range: £72,702 – £80,780 (£63,152 – £94,728 for other roles).

Location & Hours

Location: Bristol. Hours: Full‑time – 35 hours per week. Working pattern: hybrid (at least two days per week in Bristol). Disability adjustments and flexible working are supported.

What you’ll be doing

  • Pose deep questions, craft reliable solutions, and explain them to stakeholders.
  • Work in short iterative cycles with a range of techniques to champion agility, quality, culture and sustainability.
  • Build, test, and support software that underpins nearly all company activities, ensuring performance, resilience and integrity.
  • Own operational support of systems 24/7 using SRE principles.

What we’re looking for

  • Direct software engineering experience creating Java applications with DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Spring Boot, JSON, micro‑services, Kafka and Postgres.
  • Solid grasp of architecture and cloud‑native principles, including algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with container environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) on cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure or AWS – GCP preferred.
  • Automating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Spinnaker.
  • Understanding of MDM, reference data, IBM product master and mainframe concepts.
  • Awareness of Agile values and principles.
  • Great communication, teamwork and mentoring skills.
