Lead the development and delivery into service for the Sea Ceptor maritime platform equipment. Salary: up to £71,000, depending on experience. The role is hybrid, requiring 3–4 days per week on‑site for workload classification. Security clearance is required: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship, with HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) to be completed after offer.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery into service of major platform subsystem equipment, including Command and Control, System Control Equipment, Launch Management System, Platform Datalink, Maintainer Local Terminal and related hardware/software.
- Accountable for delivery of subsystem Certificates of Design; direct Design Authorities to ensure on‑time, on‑cost, high‑quality delivery.
- Lead subsystem Design Authorities and create an environment for them to deliver on time and cost across multiple concurrent development programmes.
- Manage mid‑life update and obsolescence programmes and support in‑service product queries.
- Own all Subsystem Safety activities and clarify cohesion across subsystems feeding into deliverables.
- Provide guidance and oversight for new business bids for the subsystems task group.
- Ensure Sea Ceptor programme needs are met by subsystem product lines that deliver common components for Sea Ceptor and other air‑defence programmes.
- Collaborate with counterparts in Sea Viper and Land Ceptor to maintain product evolution plans and drive convergence for cost and time efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Experience delivering complex work packages, managing risk and opportunity.
- Ability to build strong relationships with cross‑functional teams and demonstrate collaborative leadership.
- Strategic thinking to manage evolution across multiple contracts and influence subsystem product lines.
- Excellent engineering stakeholder management – systems design, electronics engineering, software engineering and test equipment.
- Experience in development, certification and safety of systems with complex interfaces and functionalities (software and/or electronics).
- Strong communication skills and leadership experience.
- Security clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national; BPSS completion required.
