Fit-Out Site Manager in Exeter

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fit‑Out Site Manager to oversee an internal warehouse fit‑out project in Exeter. The project includes full internal works such as changing rooms, toilets, reception areas, and associated finishes, managing all trades on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations for a full internal fit‑out project
• Oversee and coordinate 15-20 operatives on site
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Maintain regular, proactive communication on site progress
• Review and interpret drawings, ensuring works align with design specifications
• Liaise with architects, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Take a hands‑on approach to site management (not desk‑based)
• Report into the project lead and provide regular updates
• Maintain shared documentation and basic reporting via email and Word

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit‑out projects (ideally similar scope)
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Reliable and able to work autonomously on a remote project
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and site‑focused approach

Certifications

• SMSTS (essential)
• CSCS Card (essential)
• First Aid (essential)
• Banksman qualification (desirable, not essential)
