Private Equity Associate

A leading pan-European private equity fund is seeking to add an Associate / Senior Associate to its investment team in London. The fund focuses on mid-market opportunities across Europe and has a strong track record of backing ambitious management teams and delivering long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on new investment opportunities
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Support the execution of transactions, including deal structuring, documentation, and negotiations
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational initiatives
• Prepare high-quality materials for investment committees and senior stakeholders
• Monitor performance of portfolio companies and support value creation projects

Key Criteria

• 3 to 5 years of experience in investment banking (M&A) or private equity
• Strong technical skills in modelling, valuation, and transaction execution
• Prior experience in mid-market private equity is an advantage
• Exposure to sectors such as B2B services, education & training, or industrials is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, lean team environment
• Fluent English (native or professional-level); additional European languages beneficial
• Experience studying, working, or living in the UK is advantageous and highly valued
