Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer at Cytiva supports day‑to‑day production operations, ensures high‑quality product delivery, and leads technical projects for equipment and process upgrades across new product development, cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Identify, participate in, and lead projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Problem‑solve process issues or product non‑conformances using empirical evidence and quantitative analysis.
- Participate in new product development projects and support transfer of new products from development into production.
- Create process and validation documentation to ensure manufacturing is performed safely and meets documented quality specifications.
- Maintain regulatory compliance with EHS, quality, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 5years of relevant experience.
- Experience applying lean manufacturing tools (Daily Management, Standard Work, Lean conversion) and in equipment and process design and improvement in a regulated industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse functions in a matrix organisation.
- Valid UK driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record; expected travel of about 10% within the UK/Europe.
- Additional plus: previous experience in clean‑room environments in the pharmaceutical or medical‑device industry; formal Six Sigma training or qualification.
Location & Travel
On‑site role based in Stevenage, UK; may travel within the UK/Europe up to 10% of the time.
Remote Work Arrangement
