Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is a fully integrated design and build business. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will contribute to water and wastewater projects that significantly impact our environment and communities, from feasibility through to construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non‑infrastructure projects through outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover, including P&IDs, valve schedules, pump calculations, safe access and lifting arrangements, and above‑ground pipework layouts.
- Coordinate with electrical, civil, geotechnical and process design teams to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and to the quality defined by framework specifications.
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout design and construction.
- Engage positively with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one‑team approach to support them in achieving their aims.
- Support the mechanical engineering team by coaching and mentoring engineers and identifying suitable resources for projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant engineering institution.
- Experience of delivering high‑quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
- Water/wastewater experience required.
