MC Program
VML Marketing Coordinator Program is a large global community of approximately 400 employees that works at the intersection of Microsoft Marketing and agency teams. We coordinate campaigns across Microsoft internal stakeholders, VML global Service Delivery Hub teams, and third‑party agencies. Campaigns generate sales leads that Microsoft scores and processes according to its sales strategy. Project Execution Leads are the client‑facing roles that coordinate intake of requests from Microsoft stakeholders (marketers) and delivery across multiple disciplines.
Purpose of the job
Project Execution Lead acts between the Event, Commercial, Social, and Data & Insights Marketing Coordinators and the Microsoft stakeholders. In this role, the Lead receives full briefings for marketing projects, advises stakeholders on MC Program services, processes, SLAs, KPIs, and tools, and coordinates MC delivery.
Responsibilities
Planning & Set‑up
- Support marketers in developing an integrated and feasible marketing demand generation plan that connects local marketing execution with automated demand generation.
- Understand global and local governance for planning, setup, and measurement of marketing demand generation activities.
- Advise stakeholders on overall MC Program execution processes, SLA, KPIs, tools, and services.
- Understand targeting criteria and options relative to local marketing priorities, including work with pre‑defined target lists.
- Document past learnings and incorporate them into ongoing commercial marketing planning and execution.
Execution & Project Management
- Act as the single point of contact for Microsoft marketing project execution and for operational commercial marketing activities involving multiple MC Program disciplines.
- Create marketing projects and service requests in the intake tool on behalf of Microsoft marketers.
- Develop the project plan and coordinate marketing execution with all involved parties – VML and Microsoft stakeholders and third parties.
- Deploy tracking tools to monitor execution progress and ensure accurate spend attribution.
- Inform stakeholders on progress and resolve issues.
- Support Microsoft stakeholders in organizing cadence meetings, sharing meeting documentation, and following up on action points.
Measurement & Reporting
- Ensure measurement plans reflect reporting requirements provided by marketers.
- Support marketing business objectives by providing standard marketing measurement and reporting plans.
- Upload business leads to Marketo in a timely manner when needed.
- Use reporting provided by Marketing Services teams to provide specific views and information to stakeholders.
- Regularly review Marketing Services performance dashboards to understand campaign performance and lead‑stage conversions focused on marketing outcomes and business results.
- Identify patterns, best practices, and efficiencies across multiple marketing activities.
- Support marketing governance, reviewing performance of locally created emails using provided dashboards.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Focus on deployment of standard marketing projects and support local non‑standard marketing campaigns.
- Act as ambassador for global commercial marketing tools & services.
- Educate local stakeholders on modern marketing services and tool capabilities.
- Attend modern marketing meet‑ups to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge.
- Bring MC Program discipline expertise into campaign planning and execution when requested.
Required skills & competencies
- 2+ years of experience in a client‑facing project and/or account management role.
- High level of compliance with company rules & processes, e.g., personal data protection or brand guidelines.
- Proven project management skills and readiness to assume responsibility for own KPIs, track activity progress, and meet critical deadlines.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong ability to share complex information in a structured way.
- Comfort dealing with senior clients and third‑party stakeholders.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple events and activities and prioritize urgent and important tasks.
- Strong team player who can establish working relations with culturally diverse internal and external partners.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent English is essential.
