Position: Health and Wellbeing Projects Officer

Salary: Part time, 30 hours per week, £31,744 – £33,868 per annum (rising by annual increments). Full time equivalent £39,152 – £41,771 per annum.

Hours of work: Part time – 30 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Service Headquarters, Salisbury or Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury. Required to attend centre of duty location approximately once a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a range of Health and Wellbeing projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring clear governance, effective project management, and successful outcomes delivered on time and within agreed resources and deadlines.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and report on project risks, dependencies, and challenges, recommending practical solutions and mitigating actions to support successful delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Provide flexible support and resilience across Health and Wellbeing functions as needed, ensuring continuity and effective delivery of key priorities.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of Health and Wellbeing initiatives and organisational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Post specific qualification at Level 5 or working towards, or Professional Membership of the CIPD at Associate Level, or equivalent demonstrable working experience at this level.
  • Knowledge and working experience of project governance and production of documentation and records to support development and delivery of projects.
  • Experience in working with strategic and senior officers and stakeholders, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

Other Information

  • You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role, attending meetings and training events at various locations across the service area.
  • Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance required prior to offer of employment.
