Job Overview
We’re looking for a senior project manager who thrives in the “high‑stakes” phase of the agency lifecycle: the win. This is not a traditional delivery role; you will sit at the intersection of Operations and Commercial Strategy, acting as the dedicated partner to our Senior Director, New Business. Your mission is to understand VaynerX products and architect budgets, staff plans, and operational frameworks that turn ambitious APAC pitches into profitable realities.
Responsibilities
- Commercial & Proposal Architecture
- Serve as the operational “right hand” to the Senior Director, New Business, translating pitch strategies into actionable scopes of work.
- Develop complex, high‑value budgets and staff plans (ranging from $100K to $3M+) that ensure market‑fit while protecting agency margins.
- Lead the development of the “Operations & Commercial” sections of pitch decks, articulating our “Hybrid Creator” models and SMA Excellence frameworks to potential clients.
- Act as the lead Project Manager for the pitch itself; create the internal project plan, set milestones for the deck and relevant deliverables, and ensure the cross‑functional team (Creative, Strategy, Media) stays on track to hit high‑stakes submission deadlines.
- Partner with FinOps to vet all new business pricing, ensuring every proposal is profitable, scalable, and risk‑adjusted.
- Senior Stakeholder Navigation
- Act as the central nervous system for senior stakeholder reviews, owning the process of getting Creative, Strategy, Client Partnerships, and Media leads to sign off on scopes before they hit the client’s desk.
- Guide the cross‑functional pitch team through the entirety of the proposal process, ensuring all deliverables are polished, approved, and strategically aligned.
- Act as a point of contact during the procurement phase, balancing client needs with agency health.
- New Client Strategy & Onboarding
- Support the operational Onboarding Foundations for awarded business, ensuring a seamless transition from the pitch team to the permanent delivery team.
- Ensure APAC‑wide regional goals (Creative & Production Excellence, Talent, Process) are baked into every new proposal from day one.
- Lead the technical discovery phase with new clients to uncover hidden requirements that impact staffing and pricing.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in an agency environment, with a heavy focus on Integrated Scoping, Business Development, or Creative Operations.
- Deep understanding of agency math (FTEs, utilization rates, overhead, OOP).
- Proven ability to solve complex problems under tight pitch deadlines – the “Producer Mindset”.
- Experience navigating the diverse commercial landscapes of the APAC region, including varying labor costs and platform behaviors.
- Track record of working directly with SVPs and C‑Suite executives to gain consensus on complex budgets.
