Salary £28,142 – £32,061 per annum | 37 hours per week | Permanent | Business Support Team Leader
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Information and Records Management Service (IRMS) within Lancashire County Council. The IRMS service supports Council departments in managing their data, including digitisation and associated processes of Social Care and Corporate data, auditing physical holdings of records, and sharing information with third parties in line with Information Governance rules.
The Team
The Information and Records Management Service has several teams supporting Council departments in managing their data. This advert is for a Team Leader to work within the Access Team, supporting this function.
The Role
The role involves using specific software to process and update information, and requires the ability to work in a warehouse environment. We are looking for people with excellent leadership, communication and ICT skills, who are comfortable using a wide range of software systems to help ensure statutory and legislative obligations are met.
Experience and confidence in leading and managing people is essential. The service utilises bespoke records management software along with MS365 and Teams, and you will be managing a team, so you need to be able to call/video conference, schedule meetings, interrogate systems, and navigate a laptop and new systems confidently.
About You
You will be good at using your initiative and prioritising work when solving problems; therefore, communication and teamwork are key. You should be a go-getter who isn’t afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, as well as motivating others to do the same. This role involves working with sensitive information in line with current legislation. Data protection and information governance is at the heart of what we do.
