Responsibilities
- Sitting within the Nuclear Engineering & E3S Analysis function, develop, implement and share requirements and guidance to achieve high availability and low cost objectives.
- Inform design and decision reviews of components, systems and layouts to support through‑life operation and maintenance, including decommissioning.
- Identify the skill types, roles and numbers of staff required for successful through‑life operation.
- Inform the development of Operating Conditions and Limits for normal and faulted operation.
- Define how the power station operates through all modes (power and shutdown) and states (normal, abnormal, faulted, emergency).
- Generate and obtain data to develop a through‑life cost model, considering staffing, spare parts, maintenance and other costs.
- Represent the company in talks with potential customers, regulators and industry bodies.
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent).
- Completed Reactor Operator training with demonstrable operational experience within a Nuclear Power Station.
Remuneration & Benefits
Salary: £53,800 – £66,500 per annum.
- Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%.
- Benefits allowance: £2,200.
- Pension – 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- 28 days holiday (plus public holidays) with the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
