Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements, working with cross‑functional teams in a high‑pressure environment.
  • Manage engagement economics and communicate significant issues, fees and general progress to partners and clients.
  • Coach junior team members and play a lead role in developing the team’s intellectual capital.
  • Participate in marketing efforts by building relationships with senior clients and enhancing the team’s external brand.
  • Drive client satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve client service.
  • Support key client decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value.

Client‑Facing Responsibilities

  • Form influential relationships on client accounts.
  • Lead engagements delivering Deal Technology or Strategic Transformation services.
  • Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and deliverables.
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve client service and cross‑sell EY offerings.

People‑Facing Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall team performance on engagements.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff, supporting their development.
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training professionals.
  • Maintain an educational programme for ongoing skill development.
  • Build strong internal relationships with other EY teams.

Skills and Attributes

  • Financial Services expertise: at least seven years of industry and/or consulting experience in a Financial Services environment.
  • Change management: proven track‑record in leading change initiatives, preferably in a transaction context.
  • Strategic insight: ability to apply industry trends and M&A market knowledge to shape approaches for assignments.
  • Commercial acumen: quickly understand key value drivers and influence problem‑solving approaches.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis: sound analysis to assess operational impacts on the investment case.
  • Technology platforms: familiarity with core financial services platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to produce high‑quality reports.
  • Relationship management: establish credibility & presence with client teams and engage as a peer.
  • Selling skills: recognise opportunities and collaborate with other experts within the firm.
  • Cultural awareness: adapt to diverse operating styles and cultures.
  • People management and teamwork: use group dynamics to achieve assignment objectives, be approachable, and provide coaching.
  • Strong academic record, including a degree.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, with benefits from international experience, transaction exposure and foreign‑language skills.
