Location: Wolverhampton (covering West Midlands, Staffordshire & Warwickshire)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility required)Salary: £30,000 – £38,500 per annum (DOE)
The RoleOur client is a long-established and rapidly growing security systems company based in Staffordshire, seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join their expanding team.This is a varied, hands‑on role involving the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electronic security and networking systems across a range of client sites.The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality solutions across CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and wireless networking systems.Working across the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Warwickshire, this role requires a proactive and reliable engineer who can work both independently and as part of a team, delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain CCTV, ANPR, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and WiFi systems
- Assist with both new installations and reactive service call‑outs
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on security and networking systems
- Work with IP‑based systems and support basic network configuration
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with company and SSAIB requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional on‑site support
- Accurately complete job reports and documentation
- Participate in an on‑call rota
About You
- Basic IP networking knowledge (minimum 12 months preferred but not essential)
- Experience working with CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control or WiFi systems
- Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a practical, hands‑on approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full clean UK Driving Licence
- Full background and DBS check due to SSAIB accreditation
