Overview

MBDA’s Military Transition Scheme (MTS) offers UK Armed Forces members in the final 12 months of service an 8‑ or 12‑week placement to gain sector experience and transition into the civilian workforce. The scheme runs from September 2026 and participants must remain in service until at least the end of December 2026. Locations include Stevenage, Bristol, Bolton and a Field Service Engineer role in Portsmouth.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Applicants must be a member of the UK Armed Forces, in the last 12 months of service, and able to complete the placement while in their Resettlement period. The scheme is unpaid.

Responsibilities

During the placement participants will undertake a role within one of MBDA’s existing teams, contributing to projects across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Corporate and Central Support. Participants will be supported by mentors and have the opportunity to shadow key business people.
