Job Title: SAS Developer

Location: Birmingham – 2 days per week

Salary/Rate: £402 per day inside IR35

Start Date: 15th June

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Own end-to-end technical design across SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), SAS DI, Base SAS, and SAS Viya environments
• Define and implement SAS development standards, optimisation approaches, and reusable frameworks
• Translate Basel III / Basel 3.1 business requirements into functional and technical SAS solutions
• Design and deliver SAS solutions supporting RWA, EAD, capital calculations, and regulatory reporting

Required Skills/Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with SAS technologies including SAS EG, SAS DI, Base SAS, and SAS Viya
• Proven delivery experience across Basel III / Basel 3.1 regulatory programmes
• Strong understanding of banking risk, capital, and regulatory reporting processes
• Experience producing technical design documentation and leading SAS delivery teams

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience with SAS cloud migration or platform modernisation programmes
• Exposure to multiple UK banking environments and regulatory frameworks
• Knowledge of SDLC, release governance, and quality management processes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
