We are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a high-performing finance team. This is a key role focused on driving commercial insight, improving profitability, and supporting better decision-making.
You will play a central part in analysing sales performance, margin, cost drivers, and profitability, while partnering closely with key stakeholders to deliver value-adding insight and support commercial strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong analytical skills with real commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse sales, margin, cost of goods, inventory, and outbound performance providing clear reporting and commentary
- Review customer rebates and pricing, highlighting variances, trends, and exceptions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, contribution analysis, and modelling to support commercial decisions
- Assist with tender evaluations and commercial proposals, including pricing and profitability assessments
- Proactively track actions arising from commercial insight to ensure risks are managed and opportunities delivered
- Identify and elevate commercial and financial risks, supporting mitigation actions
- Support product costing accuracy, including overheads, cost absorption, and data integrity
- Partner with commercial leaders on pricing discipline, customer profitability, and sales performance analysis
- Continuously improve reporting efficiency, insight quality, and financial processes
- Support ad hoc analysis, projects, and wider business initiatives
About You
- Part or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA
- Advanced Excel skills (essential)
- Experience with tools such as Power BI or Copilot is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical mindset
- Confident communicator, able to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Proactive, curious, and keen to challenge and improve ways of working
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach
