Credit Controller
HX is a purpose‑led explorer company dedicated to sustainable expedition experiences worldwide. As a Credit Controller, you will manage credit control, ensuring timely cash allocation to customer accounts, and escalating issues where necessary while reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Timely preparation and distribution of monthly travel agent statements.
- Proactively chase travel agents and direct customers for overdue payments via email and phone.
- Build and maintain effective, user‑friendly working relationships with internal and external partners to manage debtors.
- Handle inbound emails for the Accounts Receivable team and respond to internal/external queries.
- Assist with month‑end close processes and internal reporting.
- Support prompt allocation of cash to customer accounts.
- Assist with incoming bank reconciliations when required.
- Help maintain Credit Collection policies and procedures.
- Assist in the external audit process.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Fluency in English is required.
- A minimum of 2 years credit control experience, with a solid grounding in accounting procedures.
- Studying toward an accountancy qualification is a plus but not essential.
- Basic accounting processing and reconciliation skills.
- Experience in the maritime, expedition, or cruise industry is beneficial.
- Tech‑forward and adaptable, with a proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Experience working in a multi‑national organisation with a global guest mix.
