Role Overview
You will join the Airframe Tolerancing team as part of Airbus Engineering. The team is multicultural with representatives in the UK, France, Germany and Spain, and works with Airbus North America and Airbus India Engineering. The Tolerance Analyst is part of the growing Transnational Airframe Tolerancing team and provides specialised tolerancing solutions for all Airbus programmes, as well as research programs, new technologies, new aircraft concepts and innovative industrial systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across engineering design, stress, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and quality departments within a global digitalised environment.
- Provide insight into the airframe journey from the initial R&T phase through to production, interacting directly with Final Assembly Lines and flight testing teams.
- Work in concert with complex design principles and tools such as DFEM and Aerodynamics to ensure the tolerancing deliverable supports the overall solution.
- Apply appropriate tolerancing solutions to achieve the best balance between high performance and cost-effective manufacturing.
- Offer expertise to other divisions, including Helicopters and Space, to reach optimal compromises in production and manufacturing.
- Contribute to a global environment while developing specialist skills and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the aircraft market and development steps.
Qualifications
- Educated to an Engineering degree with relevant working experience in Engineering and ideally in Tolerancing.
- Knowledge of ISO Tolerances annotation, 1D-3D stack-up, MECAMASTER/3DCS tool would be a plus.
- Experience in Computer Aided Design, CATIA would be a plus.
- Knowledge of the KCnT Airbus tool would be a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing would be a plus.
- Project management skills would be a plus.
