Salary: £32,000 – £42,000 + Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity
Due to sustained growth, our client is seeking an Accounts & Audit Senior to join their expanding team. This role offers a blend of audit (c.75%) and accounts/advisory work, providing variety, client exposure and strong long‑term career prospects.
You’ll work with a broad portfolio of corporate clients and owner‑managed businesses, building trusted relationships while delivering high‑quality audit and accounting services.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Accounts Delivery
- Lead and deliver statutory audits from planning through to completion
- Prepare year‑end financial statements in line with UK GAAP (FRS 102/FRS 105)
- Support on advisory assignments and ad hoc client projects
- Ensure high‑quality, compliant audit work across engagements
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Act as a key point of contact for client queries
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including corporate tax
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and review work of junior staff
- Support training and development initiatives within the team
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and audit quality
Career Progression
- Progression pathway to Assistant Manager, Manager and beyond
- Opportunity to lead smaller audits and report directly to Responsible Individuals
About You
We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware professional with:
- ACA/ACCA part‑qualified or qualified (or equivalent)
- 2–4+ years’ UK practice experience, ideally within audit or mixed audit/accounts roles
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, auditing standards (ISA UK), and financial reporting
- Proven experience of leading audits or supervising assignments
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- A proactive, organised and team‑oriented approach
Working Arrangements
- Based in Blackburn
- Client site visits across Lancashire and Greater Manchester
