Senior Veterinary Surgeon (Surgery Lead) – flexible rota, up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of surgical services within the practice.
- Mentor and support junior staff to maintain high clinical standards.
- Drive surgical treatment plans for a varied client base including small animals, exotics and dentistry.
- Manage a flexible schedule – predominantly weekdays with occasional Saturday mornings (max 1 in 4) and school hours.
- Ensure all appointments finish at least half an hour before closing and cover no out‑of‑hours commitments.
- Work alongside an experienced clinical team and contribute to practice growth.
- Participate in quality improvement and CPD activities.
- Adhere to the practice’s well‑being and support policies.
Qualifications
- Senior Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with a surgical bias.
- Experience leading surgical services or a strong interest in developing them.
- Strong mentorship and teaching skills.
- Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
