Job Overview
To support and assist in the delivery of professional nursing care to patients within the Intensive and High Dependency Care Unit, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers while on the unit. On behalf of the Sisters/Charge Nurses, liaise with members of the multidisciplinary team both within the department and beyond, ensuring care is delivered to the patients effectively, efficiently and safely. Update relevant staff on the clinical condition of patients and maintain accurate nursing records for patients on the unit. Maintain effective communications between patients, their relatives and the multi‑professional team to avoid problems caused by poor communication. Provide written as well as verbal advice to patients and relatives discharged from the unit. Act as an ambassador/role model for the organisation and the Nursing Profession.
The candidate will be expected to complete the ICU Critical Care National Network Nurse Leads Forum (CC3N) Step One Competency document during the 12‑month seconded period.
Any previous Critical Care experience desirable.

Salary
£32,073 to £39,043 a year per annum plus high cost allowance.
