Clinical Specialist – Band 6

About the role

As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering rapid, compassionate palliative care. You will:

• Respond to urgent calls within a two‑hour timeframe
• Provide face‑to‑face assessments and clinical interventions in patient homes
• Support with prescribed and over‑the‑counter medications
• Make timely referrals and maintain accurate clinical records in line with legislation

Qualifications and Experience

• Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification (e.g., RGN)
• Healthcare degree or working towards one
• European Certificate in Essential Palliative Care
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Significant post‑registration experience in palliative and end‑of‑life care
• Sensitivity to the changing physical, psychological and spiritual needs of patients and their families
