Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 per annum + car allowance

Job Overview

The Associate Fire Engineer role is based in Manchester and offers hybrid working. It focuses on leading fire engineering delivery across complex built environment projects, including external wall fire risk assessments and remediation programmes. Suitable for experienced candidates at senior or associate level, it combines technical leadership, client advisory, and team development across regional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and provide strategic oversight across fire safety schemes.
• Manage technical outputs and ensure compliance with UK legislation.
• Lead fire engineering and EWS assessments.
• Provide strategic fire safety advice to clients.
• Mentor and support engineers on the team.
• Review and approve technical reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong consultancy experience within fire safety.
• Detailed knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.
• Experience leading teams and delivering complex projects.
• Experience in fire engineering consultancy.
• Degree in engineering or related field.
• Chartered or working toward chartership.
• Strong leadership and client skills.
