With a large and expanding network of sites across the UK, they play a key role in balancing the grid and enabling a more sustainable energy future.
In this role the Operations Engineer will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of flexible power generation assets. The focus will be on maximising plant performance, responding to faults, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and in accordance with strict safety standards.
The Role:
- Operate and maintain flexible generation plant across multiple sites
- Respond to faults and breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Monitor performance and improve plant efficiency and availability
- Complete site reporting, maintenance records and system updates
- Supervise contractors and support commissioning of new assets
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures
The Person:
- Experience working with gas generators or similar power generation equipment
- Strong maintenance, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting skills
- Background in energy, utilities, or industrial environments
- Able to work independently and manage multiple sites
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
