On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Conformance Engineer on an initial 12‑month contract via Umbrella.

Responsibilities
- Conduct tasks in line with Conformance Engineering principles, reducing the cost of non‑quality by generating KPI’s and analysing trends.
- Use data analytical skills to interrogate quality data sets and provide trend analysis with emphasis on quality improvements.
- Work alongside the Quality Line side team, functional teams and multifunctional teams to identify, deploy and report on quality improvement opportunities in line with overall business and plant objectives.
- Facilitate and lead Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) to enable clear ownership of topics, improvement opportunities and action resolution through networking and teamwork within the business.
- Escalate issues impacting quality performance by analysing KPI trends to mitigate business impacts.
- Facilitate and lead implementation, application and coaching of quality toolsets, processes and techniques within manufacturing areas to support business requirements (e.g. APQP, error proofing, problem solving, etc.).
- Review, create and monitor operational surveillance; check criteria to ensure consistent build standards, quality standards and operator competence within the plant.
- Lead quality investigations into complex/technical issues from the business and customer, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken using problem solving techniques.
- Facilitate and lead reduction of non‑allocated concession (NAC) impacting the plant perimeter; lead clearance of Plant QSR, SARI and events in a timely manner by engaging appropriate functional teams for support.
- Ensure environment, health, safety and airworthiness requirements are achieved.
- Provide necessary support to customers and authorities as required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Good knowledge of aircraft manufacture and previous experience in process improvement.
- Experience in quality conformance.
- Background in running data, ability to produce graphs using spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
- Experience working with and leading multi‑functional teams.
- Good level of general IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Suite, etc.; advantage if able to create coding/macro solutions.
- Recognised training in problem solving techniques and methodology.
- Advanced English and mathematics.
