Electrical Design Engineer – Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience/grade.Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2–3 days per week on-site.Security clearance: British citizenship required. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
Key Responsibilities
- Design for EMC and Radiation Effects (RE) across the full engineering lifecycle.
- Advising project teams on EMC/RE requirements and best practices.
- Designing and producing test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions.
- Supporting the development of unique test capability for the EMC facility.
Qualifications
- Higher education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in analogue and digital electronic design, development, and delivery.
- Experience leading substantial electronic design work packages.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, ORCAD).
- Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget constraints.
- Experience with relevant military EMC standards (e.g., Defence Standard 59‑41 / 59‑411, AECTP500, Mil‑Std‑461, RTCA DO160 / EUROCAE ED‑14) is desirable.

Working Conditions
