Responsibilities
- Operate as a Senior Sales Engineer with a background in Data Science, running your own opportunities together with the opportunity team and acting as a sparring partner, supporting in-depth Data Science challenges or conversations.
- Qualify deals through collaboration with the Account Executive, the Business Development Representative, and sales management.
- Conduct discovery meetings to learn from the customer and the BDR about business requirements and technical environment.
- Articulate usage scenarios that illustrate the business value desired by the customer to the Opportunity Team and to the customer.
- Use Dataiku to demonstrate the business value articulated in the usage scenarios.
- Design projects and execute Dataiku demonstrations that illustrate how to apply data science techniques within our software to deliver the required customer value.
- Plan and execute proofs-of-concept (POC) and evaluations by coordinating resources and co-developing data science projects with prospective customers, leading the combined team to prove Dataiku delivers the needed value better than competitors.
- Answer questions and provide technical guidance to the customer’s technical team regarding the demonstrated solution.
- Assist in sales pipeline activities, including attendance at live or virtual trade shows and industry conferences, working with marketing or partners on campaign design and execution, and other activities specified by sales and pre-sales management.
Qualifications
- Strong natural and intellectual curiosity, especially around applying technology to solve problems.
- Experience in the data science, analytics, or big data markets is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with predictive modelling and an understanding of relational data structures and SQL.
- Programming in Python/R is a bonus.
- Experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience in Analytics/AI or other enterprise software.
- Experience in technical pre-sales or other client-facing roles (consulting, etc.).
- Comfortable talking to all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives, and/or a passion for public speaking.
