Multiskilled Engineer (Boston)

Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform fault diagnosis and resolve failures on production machinery, including automation, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Escalate maintenance issues when necessary.
• Document maintenance activities and record details via SAP (CMMS).
• Drive continuous improvement through preventative maintenance activities, equipment checks and repairs.
• Complete risk assessments, permits to work and method statements for safe execution of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automation PLCs, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis and preventive/planned maintenance optimisation is advantageous.
