Commercial Gas Installation Engineer

Location: Fareham

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role

Marble Talent Group are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Installation Engineer on behalf of a well-established company based in Fareham. This is a hands‑on installation-focused role, ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in commercial gas installations, plant room upgrades, pipework, commissioning, and system upgrades across commercial sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation work across a variety of commercial environments while maintaining excellent standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out commercial gas installations, upgrades, and replacement works
  • Install commercial boilers, heating systems, plant room equipment, and associated pipework
  • Complete first and second fix installation work to a high standard
  • Commission newly installed commercial gas systems and equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve installation‑related issues on site
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with current gas regulations and health & safety requirements
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and other trades on site
  • Work independently and as part of a wider installation team

Requirements

  • Candidate must hold relevant commercial gas qualifications, including:
  • CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety
  • CEN1 – Domestic Central Heating Boilers
  • COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety
  • CODNCO1 – Changeover Domestic to Commercial
  • ICPN1 – First Fix Pipe Installation (<75mbar)
  • TPCP1A – Test and Purge
  • CENWAT – Boilers & Water Heating Appliances
  • CIGA1 – Indirect Fired Heating Appliances
  • CDGA1 – Direct Fired Heating Appliances
  • Proven experience in commercial gas installation work
  • Experience working on plant rooms and commercial heating systems
  • Strong pipework and commissioning experience
  • Ability to work from drawings and technical specifications
  • Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
