Electrical Engineer – Academic Instructor
We’re looking for Electrical Engineers to join us as Academic Instructors, helping to train and develop the next generation of engineers supporting the UK’s defence capability as part of Project Selborne.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom‑based electrical engineering instruction
- Support learners through theory, problem‑solving, and practical understanding
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Continuously develop your own instructional and technical skills
- Contribute to a professional, supportive learning environment

Required Experience
- Graduate Electrical Engineer
- Time‑served electricians or electrical engineers
- Engineers from industrial, manufacturing, defence, utilities, or maintenance backgrounds
Qualifications & Benefits
- Full instructor training provided; no teaching experience needed
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level is required
- Salary up to £43,500, pro‑rated for 45 weeks per year
- Term‑time only basis (45 weeks per year, 2 weeks Christmas and Easter, 3 weeks August)
- Social hours; no overtime
