About the Role

Family Help Workers act as key workers for children and families with a range of needs, undertaking assessments and delivering and coordinating interventions directly to the children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Child & Family Assessments to identify needs.
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions to children, parents and carers on a one‑to‑one and group basis.
  • Lead Professional for Team Around the Child cases where relevant.
  • Support children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need Plans and children in care.
  • Deliver group work and offer support to young carers.

Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence with access to a car and ability to travel flexibly across the countywide area.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in spoken English as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty).
  • Availability for evening and weekend work as required.
