Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients on a permanent basis in Leicester.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Hours

Flexible working hours Monday – Friday between 6:00am – 10:00pm (Minimum 40 hours per week)

Leicester

Salary

£45,000 – £50,000

Duties

• Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance across the site
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Complete maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures
• Manage maintenance activities independently within a standalone role

Requirements

• Time‑served Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• 18th Edition qualified
• Completed an apprenticeship within General Engineering or Machining
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding experience
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams
• Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Experience within plastics or injection moulding would be advantageous
• Experience working with hydraulic systems would be advantageous
