Your Impact: We are looking for a talented and passionate Project Manager at Leonardo in Luton, working in the EW Line of Business. Leonardo is a global high‑tech company and one of the key players in Aerospace, Defence and Security. Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK. This role is part of the EW Combat Air Line of Business within the Electronics Division of Leonardo. The Division designs, builds and manufactures complex electronic systems and services for the global defence market.
Responsibilities
- Manage Development & Production Test and Upgrade projects, circa £100m.
- Oversee relationships with multiple stakeholders including UK MoD, BAES, EuroDASS Workshare Partners and internal business departments.
- Maintain project strategies aligned with the overall programme strategy.
- Manage all procurement of development and production test platforms.
- Generate and present multiple metric reports as requested by the business or the customer.
- Prepare a SAP monthly CSR and present to the business.
- Provide accurate estimates for proposed work, ensuring sufficient contingency is applied.
- Own the project budget, monitoring expenditures and costs throughout the financial year.
- Serve as the point of contact for the Purchaser, Customer and Workshare Partners.
Qualifications
- Experience using project control methodologies and risk management.
- Proficiency in SAP/Primavera tool for planning and project management.
- Broad understanding of all parts of the lifecycle and experience in some stages.
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders, using data and analysis to support line of reasoning.
- Typical competency level of Project Manager (Entry) or PMO Officer as defined by the APM Competency Framework.
