Role Overview
As a Relief Plant Supervisor you support the efficient running of our concrete plants, ensuring production, quality and safety standards are consistently met, and provide essential cover during holidays and periods of absence.
Responsibilities
- Operate plant computer‑based batching and dispatching systems.
- Ensure concrete and mortar production meets customer requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain stock levels and ensure materials meet specification.
- Accurately batch concrete/mortar following operational procedures.
- Uphold health, safety, environmental legislation and company policies.
- Monitor waste, water discharge and dust emissions.
- Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors follow safety procedures.
- Report defects, incidents or anything impacting safety, environment, product quality or service.
- Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and plant areas.
- Ensure plant buildings, equipment and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, and well presented.
- Supervise contractors and hauliers on site.
- Secure the site and maintain building security at all times.
- Handle customer enquiries politely and professionally by phone and face‑to‑face.
- Represent the company with a positive and professional image.
- Review work methods and plant utilisation for efficiency.
- Seek guidance on operational matters outside role authority.
- Carry out additional duties as required.
