Location: London – Hybrid working

Role Overview

SSQ, partnered with a global organisation, seeks an experienced commercial lawyer to join a high‑calibre general commercial function. The role focuses on general commercial and commercial technology tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising and working closely with the business to provide a proactive service across a range of commercial law issues including general contracts, supply agreements, IP, Privacy, NDAs, Commercial Tech and IT agreements and client service agreements.
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide variety of commercial contracts including NDAs, File Transfer Forms, Referral Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Fee Services Agreements and Global Partnership Agreements.
• Drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide variety of IT agreements including SaaS Agreements, website documents and terms and conditions, Website Licence Agreements, Software Licence Agreements, Software Escrow Agreements, Software Maintenance Agreements, App Development Agreements and Website Development Agreements.
• Drafting Trademark Licence Agreements.
• Drafting business law related policies and training materials.
• Supporting the Privacy & Information Security teams with advising and drafting on Data Protection Clauses.

Application Requirements

• 6+ years of post‑qualification legal experience.
• Experience in commercial technology agreements.
• Experience gained in private practice and/or in‑house in a commercial legal team in the insurance sector covering a wide range of general commercial and contract law matters.
