The Health,Safety and Wellbeing Manager role
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) departmentsupports the business to reduce HS&W risk and create positiveworking environments.
The purpose of a HS&WManager is to support stakeholders to achieve the highest levels ofHS&W performance. A key member of the HS&W team, workingclosely with assigned projects teams and project supply chainmembers to give high quality HS&W support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and help rectify any competence issues forprojects that you support
- Provide high levelsof HS&W support and advice to assignedprojects
- Identify and escalate anyresource issues, which could create a HS&W risk for projectsyou support
- Support implementation andembedment of companywide HS&W strategy objectives
- Contribute to work winning activity whenrequired
- Influence and support projectpersonnel to lead and engage in HS&W
- Promote and help create a positive HS&W reportingculture
Your profile
Essential:
- Member of IOSH working towards CharteredStatus
- Excellent people leadershipskills
- Experience of providing highlytechnical H&S support to complex Construction or CivilEngineering projects within UK Tier 1 contractors
- Competent understanding and ability to apply root causeanalysis
- Excellent communication andinfluencing skills
- Experience of leadingHS&W improvement with successful results
- Aproactive approach to your own learning and development
- Strong technical background with experience across majorproject schemes
Desired:
- Chartered member of IOSH
- NEBOSHDiploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health andSafety
- Lifting Experience
- Mental Health First Aider
- SeniorLeadership Team experience
- Experience ofmanaging direct reports
- Sound understanding ofbehavioural psychology and human factors
- Involvement in external HS&W workinggroups
