We invite you to join our International Corporate Tax Advisory (ICTA) team, market leader in international corporate tax advisory and cross‑border M&A. This pure tax advisory role involves advising large corporations on international tax issues.
The opportunity
The ICTA team is large and growing. You will work with leading international tax partners, high‑performing teams, and help clients navigate the complex international tax landscape. Key project areas include:
- Expansion into new markets
- Pre‑transaction reorganisations and post‑transaction integration
- M&A deal structuring
- Legal structure rationalisation
- Operating model redesign
- Optimisation of capital structure and financing
- Optimisation of intellectual property ownership and reliefs
- Managing the risk arising from global law change such as BEPS
- Supporting clients with tax controversy
Your key responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, proactively winning work and growing existing relationships.
- Manage the delivery of technically complex advisory projects, ensuring technical excellence and commercial focus.
- Overall responsibility for quality of client service.
- Build networks and relationships internally and externally to provide opportunities for the team.
- Build and develop client engagement teams, supervising, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Involved in managing the team in terms of strategy, operations, and junior staff development and assignments.
Skills and attributes for success
- Client focus and commercial awareness.
- Strong UK tax technical skills, especially in cross‑border areas such as CFCs, anti‑hybrid rules, loan relationships, intellectual property, and Pillar 2.
- Commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering quality outputs.
- Negotiation skills and ability to handle complexity and nuance.
- Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to grow the market.
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage engagement financial results.
- Effective time management and calmness under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player with ability to create, develop and sustain high‑performing teams.
- Change‑oriented and innovative with a flexible approach and adoption of new technologies.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Strong tax technical skills and significant experience advising large MNCs on complex cross‑border issues.
- Preferred certifications: ATT, ACA, CA, CTA.
- Experience managing a team and/or coaching and developing junior members.
