About the Role
Stanza Living is hiring a Legal Compliance Specialist who is meticulous and well-versed in India’s regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate will have a sound legal background, a good understanding of operations, and experience in managing compliance across multiple states.
Eligibility Criteria
LLB or LLM with 7–10 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles
In-depth knowledge of corporate law, labour laws, FSSAI norms, and municipal licensing procedures
Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or fast-paced startups preferred
Strong ability to handle compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Excellent legal drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a high-growth environment
Key Responsibilities
Oversee legal and regulatory compliance across all operational states
Manage and renew licences and permits (e.g., Trade, FSSAI, Labour, Shops & Establishments)
Draft, review, and maintain contracts, legal documents, notices, and audit records
Coordinate with local/state authorities, regulators, and external legal teams
Conduct internal audits and guide teams on corrective measures
Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, offering proactive compliance guidance
Track corporate compliance status and ensure timely submissions and filings
Lead training sessions to build legal awareness and improve compliance across teams
